“THE BEST WAY TO FIND YOURSELF IS TO LOSE YOURSELF IN THE SERVICE OF OTHERS.” ― MAHATMA GANDHI

Servant Leadership is the empowerment and enrichment of others. It is leading from the front with empathy, awareness and stewardship. Servant leadership is a concept that was coined by Robert K. Greenleaf in an essay called, ‘The Servant as Leader,’ which he first published back in 1970. Greenleaf states, “The servant leader shares power, puts the needs of others first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible.” We believe that people will accomplish more when they are inspired to accomplish goals that are beyond themselves. Many are told that they should live an inspired life. We agree, that’s important, but we believe that we lead through an inspired life. Faith in action.

The characteristic of a servant leader that most resonates with us is ‘stewardship.’ Stewardship requires a willingness to be accountable for the well-being of an individual or an organization. Stewardship is a commitment to others. It is taking ownership and responsibility for the success of others. To us, it is the willingness to serve without expectation. When you develop a passion for the success of others, we believe you will be blessed beyond measure.

At the heart of leadership, especially servant leadership, is influence. Leaders influence people by inspiring a change of mind, body, spirit, but most importantly, heart. A servant leader influences through transforming constructs, communities and culture. We believe in a world filled with positional leadership and corporate management constructs; true servant leadership through influential stewardship requires a daily commitment. The phrase ‘live and let live’ is a very topical approach to life. To us, it is conducting life in a way to ‘live and let love.’ Live a in a way where you let your genuine love for people guide your ability to serve unconditionally.

Remember, GREATNESS is always a choice.

Live and let love,
Brandon & Amanda
